IFDA Annual Convention Rescheduled to May 11 – 13, 2021
It is with deep regret that IFDA has decided to cancel our 2020 Annual Convention and Trade Show scheduled for July. This decision was based on significant research, much consideration by the IFDA Board, the solicited feedback of Indiana funeral service through the survey, and most importantly the general overall safety for those in attendance.
All registered attendees will automatically be given a refund and hotel rooms booked through the IFDA link will be cancelled. However, if you did not book your hotel room through the IFDA link, you will need to cancel those rooms on your own.
All exhibitor fees will be applied to the 2021 convention and not subject to any price increase. (Your booth will be paid in full for 2021.)
If an exhibitor refund is desired, we will gladly process a refund, but you will be subject to 2021 price increases. Please contact Connie at [email protected] to request a refund.
The IFDA Board of Directors and staff appreciates your understanding on the cancellation of the 2020 Convention and know that your health and well-being are a priority for us. Please know that we will do everything we can to help you get the requirements you need for continuing education in order to be able to renew your funeral director license for 2021-2022.
2019 – 2020 CE HOURS
IFDA sent a letter to the State Board asking for consideration to temporarily suspend for this licensing cycle the “in-person” hours and allowing the 10 mandated CE hours to be all distance learning.
Tracy Hicks, the board director, informed IFDA that the State Board does not have the latitude to do such an action; an executive order from the Governor’s office is necessary. IFDA has sent a letter to the Governor for consideration.
IFDA will keep you updated on the progress of the 2019-2020 CE hour requirements.
