For over 50 years and through 3 generations, Stodghill Funeral Home has held a compassionate and caring staff for the South Gibson community. Stodghill Funeral Home is looking to grow their compassionate staff and add another Indiana Licensed Funeral Director or a Licensed Funeral Director able to obtain their Indiana Licensure. In 1972, Robert E. Stodghill with his wife Billie opened the funeral home on Locust Street here in Fort Branch. In 1989, Robert Scott Stodghill took over as owner and operator as a Licensed Funeral Director. In 2000, Scott and his wife Julia Stodghill built a new and improved building off of State Road 168 in Fort Branch. Andrea L. Stodghill, daughter of Scott and Julia, took over in 2012 as the third generation of Funeral Directors. Throughout these many years, we have kept a lighthearted, compassionate, and sympathetic environment for all of our staff and families.

This candidate must have a flexible schedule, willing to do first calls, and all duties/responsibilities of a Licensed Funeral Director including but not limited to, embalming, meeting with a decedent’s family, and conducting a visitation or funeral. You must be able to understand and implement training. Must maintain open and effective communication with the owner and other funeral home staff. During our down time, duties may include cleaning of our prep room, the chapel, coffee room, and the rest of the funeral home. Andrea and our new Funeral Director will alternate weeks of being on call.

Requirements:

• Valid Funeral Director/Embalmer License or the ability to reciprocate
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Flexible Schedule
• Ability to lift over 100lbs
• At least 1 year of funeral home and embalming experience preferred
