Warren E. Laird, 98, the Dean of Miami County Funeral Directors, passed away on Friday, April 12th, 2024, at Dukes Memorial Hospital. He was born in Amboy on March 28, 1926, the son of Eugene and Mildred (Kline) Laird.
He and his wife Deloris owned and operated the Laird Funeral Home in Amboy after taking over from his parents. In 1991 they merged with the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home in Peru. Warren continued to be active in the funeral profession until his early 90’s.
