Vernon L. Jewell, aged 85, of Elizabethtown, Indiana, passed away peacefully on the 26th of August, 2024. Born on January 3, 1939, in Martin County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Rev. Marvin and Ruth Carroll Jewell.

Vernon's entrepreneurial spirit shone as the former owner of the Reed and Jewell Funeral Home and the current owner of the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. He is the father & Step-Father of licensed Indiana Funeral Directors Heeth Jewell & Nick Rittman.
