Douglas Francis Shelby, 69, Covington, Indiana died suddenly Tuesday September 3, 2024 at his home in Veedersburg. He fought heart problems for the past three years. He was born October 4, 1954 at Danville, IL the son of Robert B and Helen Frances (Moudy) Shelby.

He graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in 1986. He received his Funeral Director License in Indiana and Illinois in 1986. He was a funeral director with Shelby Funeral Home for thirty-seven years and formerly operated Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg.
